Philadelphia, April 18, 2008, NewDirectionPhilly.org has identified five progressive democratic candidates, 3 of which are challenging entrenched incumbents, one progressive Freshman State Rep., and for the State Legislature in North, Northwest, West, South Philadelphia Center City and the Lower Northeast.
"These candidates have all benefited from the groundswell of activity surrounding Barack Obama and like him, are working hard to increase the number of new voters-many of whom will be turning out to support Senator Obama in their respective districts.
